‘Striking’ Outstanding Small Hack - 'Sold to a wonderful new home in SA'

One of Australia's Best Junior/Intermediate Rider Competition Mounts

Sam is a highly successful show horse standing at 15.2hh.  He is a 11yr old bay gelding by Taos.  In his first season of competition he won the SHC Europa Gift Newcomer HOTY, and was the bronze winner at EFA Newcomers.  He has been ridden and schooled entirely by a now 19 year old.

He attended EFA Young Riders show horse squad for four years and handled the indoor arena and individually or group situations with ease.

His major successes include-

  • SHC Europa Gift Newcomer HOTY 2006

  • Perth Championships – twice Champion Hack and Supreme Champion 2006 & 2007

  • All Stars Show – Champion Hack 2006

  • Runner up Leslie Jones Memorial Event (best thoroughbred qualities) – Perth Royal 2008

  • Placed all classes Perth Royal 2008, including second Novice Hack 15-15.2hh

  • Top Ten Horse of the Year 2008 & 2009

  • Champion and Supreme Champion Hack of Show - Riverside Festival of Hacks (Nov. 08)

  • Multiple Champion awards at Hack Days and Ag Shows

Sammy has a quiet nature and is an excellent rider class mount.  He has carried Brittany to all ‘champion riders’ at hack shows attended throughout 2008.  He has also qualified her for the Grand Nationals on 5 occasions, and for EFA Nationals 2007.

NEWS 2009: Sam has just recently competed at the 2009 Show Horse Council Classic in May 2009 where he and Britt partnered up to be awarded Runner Up Rider 17 - 21 Years which qualifies Brittany again for her Rider at the Grand Nationals 2010. Sam had not been out showing since November 2008 until he went into her Rider Class. This is a true testment to Sam's fabulous nature.

Sam also partnered Britt to win Champion Rider 17 and under 21yrs at the recent Gosnells Masters 2009 qualifying her again for Grand Nationals 2010.

Perth Royal 2009:

Partnered with Maddison Demmler from VIC,they achieved 2nd in the Intermediate Rider 14 - 15yrs. Sam was perfectly behaved having only been worked by Maddie a handful of times before the event.

Won the Novice Hack 15-15.2hh and partnered Brittany to 2nd in the Senior Rider 18 - 21yr pulling off a very complicated Rider workout with ease.

Sam has huge ground covering movement and loads of presence and a genuine childs mount.  He is an absolute delight to prepare for shows and is great to shoe, wash, clip up, rug etc.  Qualifies easily for royals. He requires little to no working down. Sam is an ideal Garryowen prospect.

This is a very regretful sale of a best friend and much loved member of our family.  Only for sale due to ongoing university study commitments.  Sam will only be offered to a top show home.

An exceptional show Galloway

'Sold to NSW'

Stevie is a bay, 8yr old riding pony gelding standing at 14.3 1/4hh.

Registered Riding Pony, Part welsh, EFA and SHC.

Stevie is by the renowned sire Kirreway Ambition (dec) out of Indi Dimity.  He displays superb confirmation, an amazing length of rein, beautiful head and expansive movement.

This season Stevie was awarded Top ten EFA Intermediate GOTY, Top 10 SHC Open GOTY and places at Perth Royal Show 2007 – with the highlight being Reserve Champion led Part Welsh Gelding.  Steve has been awarded Champion Galloway at many hack shows, and never comes home without a supreme champion, from breed shows.

He possesses show ring spunk, displays a look at me attitude, and is consistently catching the judge’s eye.  He is good to S/C/F/W.  Stevie has attended EFA Young Riders SH Squad on various occasions throughout 2007, and we continuously receive positive comments about him.

Stevie requires minimal work down at shows and consistently performs to his best.  He is currently being ridden by a 17year old girl who he has carried to win her rider class.  Stevie can also jump.  He has a kind, cheeky nature and loves people, especially the cuddles he gets!

This is a very regretful sale as we need to make room for youngstock coming through.  Will only go to a kind, knowledgeable home as he is a much loved horse.
